My story,
Hi, I’m Irfan Mohammed ( or just Irf) , a person passionate and very straight forward about dogs. I'm here to help you understand your dog problems as well as solve them!
My journey began when I dropped out of Fashion Photography at university, due to personal/technical problems. I had a part time retail job to help me save money to buy camera equipment but sadly I sustained an injury which meant I had to leave work. For four years I was being pointed to specialist after specialist until i decided to do my own Physio to help myself as nothing was being done. As i was doing physio I had friends who had started doing dog training and I always loved animals so I would always go when I could to help out or just see the different dogs they would train. I learnt that dogs are like puzzles and there are many ways to fix different problems. This made me even more interested into wanting to spend my time working with dogs.
Well after a while I came across a family (who were a friends clients) that had a beautiful dog. When I first met him my words were, "if anyone were to offer that dog to me I'd take him in a heartbeat", then lo and behold a week later they had to get rid of him. Long story short they got a Large dog with high drive and couldn't manage him properly. He ended up having a serious fight with another one of their dogs, (now I could break down what went wrong but this isn't the page for that). So after seeing the dog they were offering, I fell in love with the absolute unit that was Lennox. Now after having a fight with another dog and not having basic training, I knew I was going to struggle with Lennox so I doubled down more and put thousands of hours into researching dog behaviour from many different sources, trying to make sure I can understand what happens, asking people around me for advice and even going back to some videos and even trying to re digest information so i was aware of what I was learning.
What has this got to do with Pawtentialize?
Well after I received Lennox I had to put what I knew to the test and let me tell you it wasn't easy. There were days when I felt to throw in the towel and even contemplated re-homing Lennox but I never gave up so NEITHER SHOULD YOU. It just takes time and consistency to practice and before you know it you will definitely see changes!
Since I've had him he's had at least 1-2 walks a day and through those walks it was just consistency with putting methods to practice. Now when people see him they cant believe how much he has changed. I get people asking me how he sits at roads, not pulls as much and heels like a charm. Those questions is what led me to make Pawtentialize, a website that is about helping people in anyway I can, whether its in person or over a call I realise that not everyone may know the basics of what to do when they get a dog or even what to do before they get a dog and so through this website I will try and help!
This website is run by just me at the moment and built for your access so your patience is greatly appreciated,
Yours Truly Irf.
